Photo of the Day: Joshua Tree, California


I previously wrote a bit about driving through Joshua Tree National Park on my way home from the Los Angeles area to Arkansas.  This was another shot I took while I was there.

In this one, I was using a wide angle lens and got very, very close to the tree in the foreground.  If you notice the hill in the background, you can also see someone standing on top of it.  I actually didn’t see that until editing it today.  Hope you like it and share it around. Thanks.

p.s. I hate how much I have to shrink down these pics to fit in my website theme, so I am going to try to get my stuff to SmugMug soon.  I think that will help.

    For awhile it was tradition that Jack would take me camping in JTree on my birthday… until we moved away :( It’s still one of our favorite camping/climbing parks. Nice shot!!

    Nice one. Isn’t Joshua Tree beautiful? It is one of my favorite spots in SoCal. I love it there. Something really special about it.

    Love the depth the tree in the foreground adds to the shot and the contrast of the blue sky. Beautiful.
