I have written a few times about sunsets verses sunrises.  As a big fan of Patagonia and the whole South American coastal areas (there are a lot of them), I can say that this part of the world was a total amazement to me.  I never expected to see what I saw in Patagonia.

And this sunrise was no exception.

I woke up too late one morning to catch the 5 a.m. bus to start heading back up to Buenos Aires to meet my buddy that lives up there, but I did get to catch this sunrise over the Beagle Channel.  Wow.

I think sunrises might be better than sunsets for photos.  And certainly for peacefulness.  Though perhaps not as good for happy hours….

I very rarely catch sunrises. Though, I too love them. When I do get to view a sunrise I find it often makes me very philosophical. For instance: http://www.kirstenalana.com/personal/sunrises-and-sunsets/

LOVE this image Michael! Very well done.

I’m never awake to see many sunrises. But I’m a sucker for sunsets.

And this photo is amazing! The colors are awesome.

Breathtaking. I’ve had similar thoughts about sunrises vs sunsets, but decided that it’s sunrises for me. This partly because I love the freshness of the early morning, and the sunrise holds such promise, whereas the sunset is the day’s end, and, I suppose, I’m not much of a nightbird. I’m so lucky that where I live I’ve witnessed the most spectacular sunrises. Right now I have no view from my little apartment, but I’ve lived where I’ve seen views similar to this one right from my window in a morning. Well a bit less remote maybe, but the majesty is the same, and there are few folk around that early. Bliss. Thanks for sharing my favorite time of day!
