I simply had more fun that I would have ever imagined (simply because I never would have imagined it to start with) during my four day train ride from Zambia to Dar es Saleem was when the train would stop and villagers would just pour out of their homes to come greet everyone on the train. Not at stations — in the middle of nowhere.

And kids everywhere love posing for photos…

Africa was a place where I learned about so many odd things, couldn’t wait to leave at the end and… simply cannot wait to go back to this totally unique place.

I think a lot of 2013 is going to be spent there.

I’m an attorney that took off on my birthday in December of 2008 to circumnavigate the globe without ever getting on an airplane. After 16 months, 6 continents and 44 countries, I made it all the way back home. Right now, I am back on the road writing about it all.

Kids everywhere just seem to like to see themselves in the screen after you take their pic.

They do look like they are loving to pose for you. It sounds like a lot of fun … love photographing children. It’s more fun to photograph them when they aren’t posing, but even posing they can be very engaging. :) So much more fun than photographing adults, in my opinion. :)

I like it mainly because, unlike adults, they don’t say no to taking their photo.

This really shows how kids are alike all over the world — whether black or white, rich or poor, kids act the same in front of a camera. Good photo!

Africa is a continent I would love to visit. These children look so beautiful and happy. Children hamming it up for the camera. This made me smile. Thank you.
