Video: Mongolian music on Horse Fiddle 4

This is a Mongolian Horse Fiddle, combined with traditional throat music. Wonderful music video, in my opinion. It was taken during some local show in Ulaan Bataar, Mongolia, the capital of that country, while I was going through in early Autumn of 2009. You can read more about traditional Mongolian music here.

Loved this guy and the sounds he could make. The combo of noises he can get from a two string (I think) instrument and his voice…. amazing.

I can’t wait to go back and spend more time there, especially out in the rural areas, which I didn’t get to hit at all. Such an interesting and beautiful country — put Mongolia on your list.
