Photo of the Day: Jousting in Maine 4

Years back, when I was on one of my many drives around the United States, I drove from Boston to Maine and back down from there to Washington, D.C. to catch the 4th of July fireworks.  It was my first, and so far only, trip to Maine and I loved it.  Such an incredibly beautiful state.

I actually took this shot on a regular camera.  This was in my pre-digital days and frankly the quality of the shot isn’t that good.  However, I do love the whimsical spirit of it.  This was taken in front of some random, small town fire station.  They had this metal art workout out front, along with a big dragon.  It made me smile, laugh, and stop my car to take some shots.

About Michael Hodson

I’m an attorney that took off on my birthday in December of 2008 to circumnavigate the globe without ever getting on an airplane. After 16 months, 6 continents and 44 countries, I made it all the way back home. Right now, I am back on the road writing about it all.
