As you read this, I am on a plane. Yes, a plane. Bleh, never happy about that necessity, given how much I like overland travel, but I simply don’t have the time and money to get to where I am going without getting on a jet plane. At least it isn’t a short-haul flight.
So, I am on my way back to Jordan, this time for business. The details are pretty set, but I think I better wait on my two partners to make the formal announcement. It has been a few months in the making and I am excited about the possibilities for 2012 and beyond. One of the big reasons I plan on spending most of 2012 in Europe and the Middle East is that I think this particular business is going to work out well for us this year.
And that means some more income to keep traveling, so I am pretty happy on how this year is starting out.
So why the photo above? Clearly not from Jordan. Not really sure why I pulled it out of my files right before I took off, but perhaps because it was one of the better photos I took on my RTW trip, before I got more proficient with my camera. Or perhaps because a lighthouse symbolizes safe arrivals — I hope.
2012 stands to be an interesting year for me. I am going to finish the book about my trip. I am going to finish the screenplay I have in my head. And now it looks like I have a new business to take up some of my attention.
Let’s get this year started. I’m ready. Are you?
Aw, my favourite header!

This is going to be a very, very interesting year. And yes, I have faith a good one also.
Gunna be a great one. I know it.

If I can just get my ass moving and get the skeleton new website up for that business, then we will finally be able to announce it. Hopefully next week.
